Post-Publication Discussion
The Indonesian Journal of Research and Educational Review (IJRER) believes that publication is not the final step in the scientific process, but an invitation to ongoing scholarly dialogue. To safeguard the integrity, transparency, and accuracy of the permanent academic record, IJRER provides robust mechanisms for post-publication discussion, formal scientific critiques, corrections, and retractions in full compliance with COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics) guidelines.
Mechanisms for Post-Publication Discussion: IJRER welcomes constructive academic discussion, critical commentary, and replication studies regarding articles published in the journal. Readers and researchers may engage in post-publication debate through two formal channels:
- Letters to the Editor/Formal Commentaries
- Submission Criteria: Readers may submit a formal "Letter to the Editor" discussing or challenging specific methodologies, statistical analyses, theoretical interpretations, or conclusions of a published article.
- Timeline: Letters must be submitted within 12 months of the original article’s publication date.
- Editorial Review: Letters undergo desk evaluation by the Executive Editor to ensure they are objective, evidence-based, and free of personal or inflammatory language.
- Right of Reply: If a Letter to the Editor is accepted for publication, the corresponding author of the original article is invited to submit a formal "Author Reply". Both the critique and the response are published concurrently in the same issue and linked directly to the original article via Crossref DOIs.
- Post-Publication Online Commenting & Data Inquiries
- IJRER supports transparent academic exchange. Concerns regarding underlying data sets, code, or analytical steps can be directed to the editorial team via etdc.ijrer@gmail.com.
- Authors are required under IJRER's Data Availability Policy to engage constructively with reasonable data clarification requests from the scientific community.
