Edukasi Blind Spot dan Literasi Lalu Lintas Siswa Sekolah Dasar

Keselamatan lalu lintas menjadi aspek penting yang perlu dikenalkan sejak usia dini, terutama pada anak usia sekolah yang rentan terhadap risiko kecelakaan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan gambaran perubahan literasi lalu lintas, khususnya pemahaman tentang blind spot kendaraan pada siswa SDIT Luqman Al Hakim 2 setelah mengikuti program edukasi blind spot. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif deskriptif untuk membandingkan skor pretest-posttest antara dua kelompok siswa berusia 8-11 tahun, yaitu kelompok yang menerima program edukasi (n = 13) dan kelompok yang tidak menerima program tersebut (n = 13). Penelitian ini dilandasi oleh Theory of Planned Behavior dari Icek Ajzen, mencakup sikap (attitude), norma subjektif (subjective norm), dan kontrol perilaku yang dirasakan (perceived behavioral control), yang menjadi acuan dalam penyusunan materi edukasi dan instrumen. Kelompok yang menerima video animasi berdurasi 20 menit dan simulasi peran sederhana tentang bahaya blind spot menunjukkan nilai N-Gain yang lebih tinggi (M = 0,693, kategori sedang) dibandingkan kelompok yang tidak menerima intervensi (M = 0,0299, kategori rendah). Karena penelitian ini bersifat deskriptif dan tidak menggunakan uji inferensial, temuan inihanya menggambarkan pola yang terlihat pada sampel penelitian saja dan tidak dimaksudkan untuk dimaknai sebagai signifikan secara statistik maupun digeneralisasikan lebih luas. Temuan ini mengindikasikan bahwa edukasi blind spot merupakan arah yang menjanjikan untuk memperkuat pemahaman anak terhadap risiko lalu lintas, sehingga perlu dikonfirmasi melalui desain eksperimental dengan uji inferensial dan sampel yang lebih besar serta melibatkan beberapa sekolah. Integrasi literasi lalu lintas termasuk edukasi blind spot ke dalam kurikulum pendidikan dasar secara sistematis direkomendasikan.
