Plagiarism Policy
The Editorial Team of Jurnal Ilmu Pendidikan Dasar Indonesia recognizes that plagiarism is unacceptable and, therefore, sets out the following policy stating the specific actions (penalties) when plagiarism is identified in an article submitted for publication in Jurnal Ilmu Pendidikan Dasar Indonesia.
Definition
Plagiarism is intentionally or unintentionally obtaining or attempting to obtain credit or marks for a scientific work by quoting part or all of the work and scientific work of another party recognized as his/her scientific work without properly and adequately acknowledging the source.
Originality Rules
Articles must be original, have never been published, and are not awaiting publication elsewhere. Material taken verbally from other sources needs to be clearly identified so that it differs from the original text. Since December 2021, all submissions are screening via Turnitin.
Plagiarism Levels & Editorial Actions
Plagiarizing part of a short sentence from another article without mentioning the source.
Action: The author is given a warning and a request to change the text and cite correctly.Plagiarized a large part of another article without proper citation and did not mention the source, OR proven to have submitted the manuscript simultaneously to another journal (Multiple Submissions).
Action: The submitted article is rejected immediately. Authors may be blacklisted/sanctioned from future publications.• Shared Responsibility: All authors of articles are responsible for the content of the articles they submit. If the article is classified as plagiarism, all co-authors will be subject to the exact same actions.
• Other Violations: If plagiarism or ethical misconduct is found outside the specific rules stated above, the Editorial Board of Jurnal Ilmu Pendidikan Dasar Indonesia reserves the right to impose sanctions according to the team's internal policy.
