Abstract

Penggunaan kecerdasan buatan (artificial intelligence/AI) di kalangan mahasiswa skripsi semakin masif sebagai sumber bantuan akademik alternatif. Salah satu faktor psikologis yang diduga mendorong perilaku ini adalah Fear of Negative Evaluation (FNE), yaitu ketakutan terhadap penilaian negatif dari orang lain, termasuk dosen pembimbing. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji hubungan antara Fear of Negative Evaluation dengan AI-Assisted Academic Help Seeking pada mahasiswa yang sedang menyusun skripsi di Kota Makassar, baik pada skor total maupun per aspek (Instrumental, Executive, dan Perceived Benefits). Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif korelasional non-eksperimental dengan teknik purposive sampling. Subjek penelitian berjumlah 80 mahasiswa S1 yang sedang menyusun skripsi di berbagai perguruan tinggi di Kota Makassar dengan kriteria telah melaksanakan seminar proposal dan pernah menggunakan AI generatif untuk keperluan akademik dalam tiga bulan terakhir. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah adaptasi Brief Fear of Negative Evaluation Scale (BFNE) sebanyak 12 item (α = 0,891) dan Skala AI-Assisted Academic Help Seeking 54 item (α = 0,924) yang mengukur tiga aspek perilaku pencarian bantuan berbasis AI. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan uji korelasi Pearson Product Moment. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat hubungan positif yang signifikan antara FNE dengan AI-Assisted Academic Help Seeking secara keseluruhan (r = 0,412; p < 0,01). Analisis per aspek mengungkap pola yang secara teoretis bermakna: korelasi terkuat ditemukan pada aspek Executive (r = 0,524; p < 0,01) dan Perceived Benefits (r = 0,389; p < 0,01), sedangkan aspek instrumental tidak berkorelasi signifikan (r = 0,142; p = 0,209). Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa FNE secara selektif memprediksi pola penggunaan AI yang maladaptif dan motivasi pelarian psikologis, bukan pemanfaatan AI untuk pembelajaran mendalam. Implikasi praktisnya, dosen pembimbing perlu membangun iklim bimbingan yang non-evaluatif untuk mencegah pergeseran fungsi AI dari alat belajar menjadi mekanisme avoidance.
